Residential Specialists
The majority of On Architecture’s work sits within the residential sector. From small-scale infill projects and bespoke new-builds, to multi-phase regeneration schemes and strategic masterplans, the practice brings depth of knowledge and technical experience to every commission. Projects are shaped by a deep understanding of context, community, and planning landscape — from sensitive village-edge developments to high-density urban housing.
The team has delivered schemes across a full range of tenures and typologies, including affordable, private sale, build-to-rent, mixed-use and custom-build housing. A strong grasp of commercial viability ensures that design ambition is matched with delivery certainty, and that projects contribute positively to their surroundings.

A Collaborative Studio Culture
Design at On Architecture is collaborative by nature. The studio environment is open and team-focused, with design development taking place through shared dialogue, critique and experimentation. Projects are advanced through both digital and physical model-making, with BIM fully integrated into the design process from early concept through to technical delivery.
”On Architecture consistently delivered creative, practical solutions that responded perfectly to our brief. Their collaborative approach made the entire process seamless from concept to completion.

Client Experience
People, Place and Purpose
Great architecture is rooted in people and place. On Architecture puts clients and communities at the heart of every project, working closely with stakeholders to develop spaces that are purposeful, sustainable and characterful. The practice believes that placemaking and the public realm are as important as the buildings themselves, and this principle runs through every design.
Team spirit is a defining part of the culture. Whether it’s site visits, student mentoring, industry events or European study trips, the team is encouraged to stay engaged, keep learning and enjoy the process of making architecture together.
